Mishnah Yoma 1

Seven days before Yom HaKippurim they remove the high priest from his house to the chamber of the counselors and they set up another priest to take his place lest something should occur to him to disqualify him [from being able to worship]. Rabbi Judah said: they even prepare another wife for him in case his wife should die, as it says “And he shall make atonement for himself and for his house” (Leviticus 16:6): “his house” this refers to his wife. They said to him: if so there would be no end to the matter.

Yom Kippur

When: October 9, 2019

“The Avodah service has preserved the quintessential rite of ancient Judaism, the most solemn moment of the Jewish year involving the holiest person (Kohen Gadol), the holiest time (Yom Kippur), and the holiest place (Temple in Jerusalem). Although not one of the pilgrimage festivals on which Jews were biblically required to appear at the Temple in Jerusalem (Deut. 16:16), on Yom Kippur huge throngs of worshipers came to see the awesome ritual and to hear the words of the Kohen Gadol.” https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/avodah-service/

There can be no Avodah without Kohen Gadol.

What is Kohen Gadol?

A chosen high priest who must be Levite along with the kohanim (service priests).

The structures can be temporary and prepared almost overnight. The biggest obstacle is educating the kohanim, which we are taking care of already. Once the priests are thoroughly educated, choosing a Kohen Gadol and teaching him what he needs to know for the Yom Kippur service is relatively simple and will take one week. The Temple Service performed by the Kohen Gadol is very demanding, but for an educated kohen, it is not overly difficult to learn to serve as the Kohen Gadol.”

And this shall be the Kohanim’s due from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give unto the kohen  the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the maw. Deuteronomy 18:3

This is not only part of a sacrifice, but is also an issue of kashrut (kosher laws), which we should be doing today,” explained Rabbi Weiss. “Instead, it is treated in a rather shabby, symbolic manner.”

Yes it is what we should be doing, but we cannot without Beit HaMikdash, so it is done ONLY IN SYMBOLIC MANNER, which breaks mitzvah, of which all who are under the Law die in their transgression.

But who wants to agree with that? I know I didn’t!

How do we choose Kohen Gadol and kohanim?

Deuteronomy 18:1-3

The levitical priests, the whole tribe of Levi, shall have no territorial portion with Israel. They shall live only off the LORD’s offerings by fire as their portion,

Has the above mitzvah been followed? Absolutely not.

and shall have no portion among their brother tribes: the LORD is their portion, as He promised them.

This then shall be the priests’ due from the people: Everyone who offers a sacrifice, whether an ox or a sheep, must give the shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach to the priest.

Deuteronomy 18:6-8

“So if a Levite comes from any of your gates, from where he dwells among all Israel, and comes with all the desire of his mind to the place which the Lord chooses,  then he may serve in the name of the Lord his God as all his brethren the Levites do, who stand there before the Lord They shall have equal portions to eat, besides what comes from the sale of his inheritance.

Leviticus 7:34-38

For I have taken the breast of elevation offering and the thigh of gift offering from the Israelites, from their sacrifices of well-being, and given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as their due from the Israelites for all time.

This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest’s office;

Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he anointed them, by a statute forever throughout their generations.

This IS the law (mitzvot not ritual) of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings;

with which the LORD charged Moses on Mount Sinai, when He commanded that the Israelites present their offerings to the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai.

None of the mitzvot for burnt offerings for YHWH have been followed since the destruction of the Temple in A.D. 70.

“If three festivals pass from the time one vows and he does not fulfill his vow, he is in transgression of (Deuteronomy 23:22): “You shall not delay” (to fulfill it). And R. Shimon says that he does not transgress unless three festivals pass in order, Pesach being first, viz. (Ibid. 16:16): “On the festival of matzoth, and the festival of Shavuoth, and the festival of Succoth.” The halachah: If one festival alone passed and he did not fulfill his vow, he transgresses a positive commandment, viz. (Ibid. 12:5-6): “And you shall come there, and you shall bring there your burntofferings, etc.” — On the first festival that you come, you must bring. And if three festivals pass, he is in transgression of delaying (his vow).” Mishnah Rosh Hashanah 1

How many vows broken and transgressed without burnt offerings?

What then are we commanded to do on the Day of Atonement?

Leviticus 16

Now the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered profane fire before the Lord, and died;

The LORD said to Moses: Tell your brother Aaron that he is not to come at will into the Shrine behind the curtain, in front of the cover that is upon the ark, lest he die; for I appear in the cloud over the cover.

Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering.

He shall be dressed in a sacral linen tunic, with linen breeches next to his flesh, and be girt with a linen sash, and he shall wear a linen turban. They are sacral vestments; he shall bathe his body in water and then put them on

And from the Israelite community he shall take two he-goats for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.

Aaron shall take the two he-goats and let them stand before the LORD at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting;

and he shall place lots upon the two goats, one marked for the LORD and the other marked for Azazel.

Aaron shall bring forward the goat designated by lot for the LORD, which he is to offer as a sin offering;

while the goat designated by lot for Azazel shall be left standing alive before the LORD, to make expiation with it and to send it off to the wilderness for Azazel.

Aaron shall then offer his bull of sin offering, to make expiation for himself and his household. He shall slaughter his bull of sin offering,

and he shall take a panful of glowing coals scooped from the altar before the LORD, and two handfuls of finely ground aromatic incense, and bring this behind the curtain.

He shall put the incense on the fire before the LORD, so that the cloud from the incense screens the cover that is over [the Ark of] the Pact, lest he die.

He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger over the cover on the east side; and in front of the cover he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

He shall then slaughter the people’s goat of sin offering, bring its blood behind the curtain, and do with its blood as he has done with the blood of the bull: he shall sprinkle it over the cover and in front of the cover.

Thus he shall purge the Shrine of the uncleanness and transgression of the Israelites, whatever their sins; and he shall do the same for the Tent of Meeting, which abides with them in the midst of their uncleanness.

When he goes in to make expiation in the Shrine, nobody else shall be in the Tent of Meeting until he comes out. When he has made expiation for himself and his household, and for the whole congregation of Israel,

he shall go out to the altar that is before the LORD and purge it: he shall take some of the blood of the bull and of the goat and apply it to each of the horns of the altar;

and the rest of the blood he shall sprinkle on it with his finger seven times. Thus he shall cleanse it of the uncleanness of the Israelites and consecrate it.

When he has finished purging the Shrine, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, the live goat shall be brought forward.

Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat and confess over it all the iniquities and transgressions of the Israelites, whatever their sins, putting them on the head of the goat; and it shall be sent off to the wilderness through a designated man.

Thus the goat shall carry on it all their iniquities to an inaccessible region; and the goat shall be set free in the wilderness.

And Aaron shall go into the Tent of Meeting, take off the linen vestments that he put on when he entered the Shrine, and leave them there.

He shall bathe his body in water in the holy precinct and put on his vestments; then he shall come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, making expiation for himself and for the people.

The fat of the sin offering he shall turn into smoke on the altar.

He who set the Azazel-goat free shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water; after that he may reenter the camp.

The bull of sin offering and the goat of sin offering whose blood was brought in to purge the Shrine shall be taken outside the camp; and their hides, flesh, and dung shall be consumed in fire.

He who burned them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water; after that he may re-enter the camp.

And this shall be to you a law for all time: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall practice self-denial; and you shall do no manner of work, neither the citizen nor the alien who resides among you.

For on this day atonement shall be made for you to cleanse you of all your sins; you shall be clean before the LORD.

It shall be a sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall practice self-denial; it is a law for all time.

Rosh Hashanah

Aseret Yemei Teshuvah – Ten Days of Repentance

Yamim Noraim – Days of Awe

“From noon on Rosh Hashanah, when our fates are already written, until Yom Kippur, when our fates for the coming year are to be sealed, we wish each other “Gemar chatimah tovah” (גמר חתימה טובה), “A good final sealing.” No matter what we say, the main thing is to wish each other a good, sweet year with all our heart – because that is what G‑d values the most.” Rabbi Menachem Posner

No brother, that is not what YHWH values most!

Hosea 6:6

For I desired loyal love, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

1 Samuel 15:22

But Samuel said: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obedience to the LORD’s command? Surely, obedience is better than sacrifice, Compliance than the fat of rams.”

Deut 6:5

You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

What is the mitzvot we must perform?

Exodus 29:36-39

and each day you shall prepare a bull as a sin offering for expiation; you shall purge the altar by performing purification upon it, and you shall anoint it to consecrate it.

Seven days you shall perform purification for the altar to consecrate it, and the altar shall become most holy; whatever touches the altar shall become consecrated.

Now this is what you shall offer upon the altar: two yearling lambs each day, regularly.

You shall offer the one lamb in the morning, and you shall offer the other lamb at twilight.

What Kohen Gadol has performed any above and when?

Hosea6:7

But they, like Adam, have transgressed the covenant; there have they dealt treacherously against me.

When has Israel been obedient with Pesach and Avodah since the fall?

Mishnah Berakhot 1

“It is a mitzvah to offer up the pieces the entire night, viz. (Leviticus 6:2): “It is the burnt-offering upon its firewood on the altar all the night until the morning.”] obtains until the appearance of the morning star. And the mitzvah of eating all of those offerings which must be eaten in one day [such as a thank-offering, a sin-offering, a guilt-offering, and the like, which are eaten a day and a night — the time for eating them is until the appearance of the morning star; and it is that which brings them to the status of nothar (left beyond the designated time and requiring to be burned)], (“the mitzvah, etc.”)”

When is commentary of Mishnah Berakhot obeyed and performed?

Magid, Rabban Gamliel’s Three Things

“Rabban Gamliel was accustomed to say, Anyone who has not said these three things on Pesach has not fulfilled his obligation, and these are them: the Pesach sacrifice, matsa and marror.”

Who has performed without fail? If you failed, how were you cleansed, what sacrifice was made other than your tears?

Makkot 24b:2

“They came to Jerusalem, the once-teeming city, now laid utterly to waste. When they came to Mount Scopus, overlooking the city, they tore their clothes in grief. … When they reached the Temple Mount, they saw a fox, running from the spot where the Holy of Holies had once stood. They all burst into tears, except for Rabbi Akiva, who laughed. The other sages said to him: … “How can you laugh at this scene of such destruction?” … He said to them: … “Why do you weep?” … They replied: … “We weep, for the place which was once the Holy of Holies, which no outsider could enter, now is desolate, inhabited by wild beasts. How could we not weep?”

The Golden Garments of the Kohen Gadol

“There is another dispute among the Sages regarding the requirement that the kohanim wear special vestments. Maimonides, in his Sefer HaMitzvot, writes that our passage communicates a positive command. The kohen and the Kohen Gadol must wear their assigned vestments when serving in the sanctuary.[16] Halachot Gedolot disagrees with Maimonides. He does not derive a commandment from our passage. He maintains that there is no separate commandment directing the Kohen Gadol or the other kohanim to wear these garments.”

“Of course, this creates a problem. The Kohen Gadol and the kohanim are not permitted to perform service in the Temple without these garments. How can Halachot Gedolot contend that there is no specific commandment directing the Priests to wear these garments, and also acknowledge that the kohanim are not permitted to serve without their vestments?”

This has been the historical Jewish existence.  There will always be a Rabbi or sage who says,

“Hey we can’t do this or that, we don’t have the ability, material, or people to perform that…”

Then a scribe will come up with a SOFT version of mitzvah, and explain what it really means. That we should approach mitzvot with a good heart, doing it in our minds, although we can’t do it for real.

This will be answered as “nonsense,” or refuted by another Rabbi, such as RamBam, and the cycle starts all over again with SEVERAL RESULTS,

CONFUSION, DENIALISM, COGNITIVE DISSONANCE & IDOLATRY!

“So the burnt egg is kept on the seder plate. Allowing us to connect ancient temple sacrifice with the temple that is our body; the temple that is our earth; and the temple that is our home. Containing every ash laden egg, midnight lament, unpatched wall and heart-felt cry that is uttered. Reminding us to trust, feel, open and speak.”

Please do not think I am mistaking the burnt egg for all of Pesach or replacing Tisha B’Av for Pesach. I am not; our story is only beginning. We also have karpas, green leafy hopeful karpas, the authentic spring joy of the seder plate… After all, we are only human.” Maggid David Arfa

The above statement is a COMPLETE AVODAH OF IDOLATRY!

Israel was scattered for their transgressions and for rejecting the blood of the lamb pesach! To this day you set up eggs as images, IDOLATRY! in place of the lamb offering!

Leviticus 16:29-34

And this shall be to you a law for all time: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall practice self-denial; and you shall do no manner of work, neither the citizen nor the alien who resides among you.

For on that day the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the Lord.

It shall be a sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall practice self-denial; it is a law for all time.

The priest who has been anointed and ordained to serve as priest in place of his father shall make expiation. He shall put on the linen vestments, the sacral vestments.

He shall purge the innermost Shrine; he shall purge the Tent of Meeting and the altar; and he shall make expiation for the priests and for all the people of the congregation.

This shall be to you a law for all time: to make atonement for the Israelites for all their sins once a year. And Moses did as the LORD had commanded him.

Has the above been performed every year for the last 2000 years? If Kohen Gadol and kohanim have not done this, how are the people free of their sins? They’re not!

Did you not know that the Temple was destroyed so you would not have any way of performing burnt offerings, Karbanot, or any Vayrika mitzvah?

Just as those who were commanded pesach and refused, death fell upon their house, so shall everyone be without a sin offering. The Talmud & midrash WILL NOT perform the sin offering for you and no EGG, or cunning argument from any Rabbi, Rebbe, sage alive or dead, will render Torah void!

So what does YHWH say He will do about ALL His mitzvot not being carried out or followed, which include Avodah, and all the transgressions of Israel:

Amos 3:1-2

Hear this word that the Lord has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying: You only have I known of all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

The LORD will scatter you among all the peoples from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone, whom neither you nor your ancestors have experienced. Deut 28:64

Behold, the Lord GOD has His eye Upon the sinful kingdom: I will wipe it off The face of the earth! But, I will not wholly wipe out The House of Jacob —declares the LORD.

For I will give the order And shake the House of Israel— Through all the nations— As one shakes [sand] in a sieve, And not a pebble falls to the ground. Amos 9:8-9

Isaiah 50:1

Thus said the LORD: Where is the bill of divorce Of your mother whom I dismissed? And which of My creditors was it To whom I sold you off? You were only sold off for your sins, And your mother dismissed for your crimes.

And now that YHWH, the Lord of Hosts, has done this, did He not fulfill His promise?

“Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.” Ezekiel 11:17

and now what must happen seeing that YHWH is bringing back the remnants of Israel as promised?

Zephaniah 1-4

The word of the LORD that came to Zephaniah son of Cushi son of Gedaliah son of Amariah son of Hezekiah, during the reign of King Josiah son of Amon of Judah.

I will sweep away man and beast; I will sweep away the birds of the sky And the fish of the sea. I will make the wicked stumble, and I will cut off man from the face of the earth —declares the LORD.

I will stretch out My arm against Judah And against all who dwell in Jerusalem; And I will wipe out from this place Every vestige of Baal, And the name of the priestlings along with the priests;

Who is Baal?

Baal is the false Mashiach, who proclaims himself Elohim in the new Temple. Baal is the image of the beast, the man imbued with the power of belial.

Zephaniah 1:17-18

Moreover, their silver and gold Shall not avail to save them. On the day of the LORD’s wrath, In the fire of His passion, The whole land shall be consumed; For He will make a terrible end Of all who dwell in the land.

Isaiah 13:9-13

And I will requite to the world its evil, And to the wicked their iniquity; I will put an end to the pride of the arrogant And humble the haughtiness of tyrants.

I will make people scarcer than fine gold, And men than gold of Ophir.

Therefore shall heaven be shaken, And earth leap out of its place, At the fury of the LORD of Hosts On the day of His burning wrath.

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.” 1Thessalonians 5

“Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Yeshua HaMashiach  -Matt 24

For not only did Israel disobey Pesach, not perform Avodah, and disobey all of  Torah and the prophets, but has not realized the diaspora is the result of such even unto this day. The Talmud and Midrash does not explain away your sin, nor provide a cover for your lack of burnt offerings says the Lord!

You give one another gifts and celebrate with graciousness, but where are the sweet savor of incense before Me, where is My fat of the offering? saith the Lord of Hosts.

Will Tashlich cast your sin away from Me saith the Lord? AM I not HE who records your transgressions?

None of your teshuvah will be heard! YHWH has provided the offering for sin and you refuse!

Hearken unto the word of YHWH.

Who will hear? Who will see for the earth has swallowed you! The Lord has scattered us to all the lands and has brought us back with a hiss. Behold the mighty wind of our God has blown us back into His hands from afar.

How long Israel shall you reject Me saith the Lord? How long will you continue to burden ME with your sin, for the stink rises up to me daily instead of incense of which I commanded you. What shall the burden of the Lord be? Your blood upon the mountains, your blood in the hills, and your blood in the valleys. For I have not relented my hand from you, but it remains out stretched until I have my fill saith the Lord. It shall come again the day of destruction, I shall gather and I shall reap, in the midst of thee O Israel have I condemned and who shall pull back my hand, who shall say I commandeth it not. For all those that reject Me I reject sayeth the Lord of Hosts. Have not I given you my own son? Have I not given my own blood to satisfy your sin and yet you turn your back on Me. I have pleaded my case, I have told all the world my case. For the foreigners have accepted Me and yet My own has cast Me out. Behold I shall make this wonderful in your eyes with great jealousy before My day comes, until I relent My hand and gather you again unto Myself.

All who have not provided לְחַטָּ֑את have perished in their sin.

Who then has been that fortunate obedient servant and has heeded the voice of the lamb?

HaMashiach answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.” HaMashiach John 10

All those who now live, know that you will die in your sin, for you have rejected the cornerstone, which has become your stumbling block. You have failed to perform Avodah, or provide the burnt offerings as YHWH the Lord of Hosts has commanded. You have rejected the blood of the lamb the sacrifice of HaMashiach Yeshua, to cleanse your sin during diaspora and the loss of the Temple.

Those who accept pesach, the sacrifice of the lamb, HaMashiach will be cleansed of sin and transgression. HaMashiach is the offering – reject, or accept. Accept and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit of YHWH.

No man can send it only YHWH and it will come upon you with mighty power and cause you to prophecy. See if my words are not true!

Ask YHWH out loud verbally – tell YHWH you accept His Mashiach blood as a sin offering for your sin and your transgressions will be removed! You will receive the Spirit of Elohim as witness.

All those in the blood of the lamb HaMashiach, in whom you call Yeshua, rejoice in the Day of the Lord! Praise be the name of the Lord our mighty YHWH forever and ever!

after the Day of the Lord to come,

So be it Lord, glory and power and might be to your name YHWH forever and ever, and blessed be the name of the lamb HaMashiach.
